Filings and accepted images are queued for the court’s case management system awaiting pick up. The CMS pings the PeachCourt API every 15 to 20 minutes picking up queued filings and images. Sometimes, filings are not in a state to be picked up and remain in the queue even after the CMS ping. It will remain in the queue for 5 pings before being taken out of the queue and landing on the Deadletter page.
- Sign into Diagnostics
- From the left menu, click Deadletters > Deadletters.
- When the page loads, use your browser’s search function to search E-, J-, C-, N-, WA-, T -, M- and G- on the page.
- Copy the peach number
- Click Search > Filing from the left menu and search for the peach number.
- Make sure you see “DELIVERED FOR CMS REVIEW” in the status for pending filings
- If you do, great! You can delete this filing from the deadletter page.
- If you don’t and you just see “QUEUED FOR CMS REVIEW”, check the API communication for that county and court.
- If the last ReviewRecord update from that court was after the queued status for this filing, click “Review’ to requeue the filing.
- Note to self: NEVER click REVIEW on a deadletter for BIBB County. Make a JIRA ticket instead.
- If the last ReviewRecord update from that court was before the queued status for this filing, contact the CMS and ask them to restart the service for that court.
- If you don’t and you just see “SUBMITTED”….
- For a non-portal court, click REVIEW to queue the filing.
- For a portal court, make a JIRA ticket.
- Make sure you see “DELIVERED FOR CMS RECORD” for accepted filings.
- If you do, great! You can delete this filing from the deadletter page.
- If you don’t, follow these steps to reformat and replace the PDF(s) which is the most common reason for image delivery errors.
- Click on the ORIGINAL file link (this will be the unstamped version)

- Print the file to PDF and resave on your computer.
- Click “Choose File” next to the ORIGINAL file and choose the printed file you just saved.
- Click “Replace”
- Click “Restamp” and type CONFIRM when prompted.

- Keep refreshing the page until you see “DELIVERED FOR CMS RECORD”
- If you still don’t see it deliver, a PeachCourt JIRA ticket will need to be created.

There can be several reasons for a deadlettered filing. The two scenarios above are just the most common. If you’re unsure of what action to take on a deadletter, always ask.
