Yodel: The Phone Call

Yodel allows us many ways to make and answer phone calls. There’s a desktop app, a mobile app, and just plain answering through Slack.

Download the app versions is explained in the Yodel User Guide for Support, but to answer from Slack, here’s how!

When a call comes in, it will light up in the #peachcourt_one-call-away channel. From there, you can click to send the customer a message if you’re on another call, or you can click Answer.

Clicking Answer will open the call in your internet browser and allow you to speak in real time to the customer.

After the call is complete, tag the call with the type of caller and cost allocation. You can also enter a brief explanation of why they called as a comment in Slack to refer back to if you need to.
